These terms cover anything you buy from this site. The seller is me, Matthew Jamison, in St. Louis, Missouri. Buying something means you agree to them. They run in the order a purchase does: what is for sale, how you pay, how you get it, and what you may do with it.
What is for sale
Digital downloads only: singles, EPs and albums as WAV and MP3, and bass sample packs as ZIP files of WAV audio. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where the law requires it.
Payment
Stripe processes every payment. I never handle your card details. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment step.
Delivery
Within a few minutes of paying you get an email with a download link. The link works for 72 hours and five downloads. If it has not arrived, check your spam and promotions folders. If it never shows, or a download fails, email me and I will send a fresh link. Delivery problems always get fixed.
No refunds
Because the files arrive instantly and cannot be returned, all sales are final. Being charged and getting nothing is a delivery problem, not a refund request, and I will make it right.
What you may do with music
Once the files are yours, buying a record gives you a personal, non-transferable license to listen to it and keep copies for your own use. You may not resell it, share the files, upload it to streaming services or stores, or use it in videos, games, advertising or other works without my written permission. Email me for sync or commercial licensing.
What you may do with sample packs
Sample packs work differently, because they exist to be built on. Each pack ships with a Master Clearance Agreement. That document governs; this is the short version.
- One shots, slides, string noise and bass fills are royalty-free. Use them in your recordings, including commercial ones.
- The loops in the INFINITY LOOPS and BASS LOOPS folders are licensed for use inside new recordings you create. You may release those recordings commercially.
- You may not resell, share or redistribute the samples on their own, use them in isolation as sound effects or as material for another sample pack, or use my name or likeness without written permission.
- A recording that uses the loops and comes out through a major label or large independent label, or passes one million streams on Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube, counts as a major release. For those, contact me for clearance, agree to a 50/50 split of advances, producer royalty and publishing, and credit Matthew Jamison as co-producer wherever credits appear.
Previews
The preview player on this site is for listening before you buy. Recording, ripping or reusing the preview streams is not allowed.
Problems and disputes
Email me first. Almost everything is a delivery or licensing question and gets solved in a reply or two. If it does not, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version appears here with a new date. The terms in force when you bought something are the ones that apply to that purchase.
